YMCA Prevailing Winds Sailing Camp

Sail into adventure with Camp Pepin's Sailing Camp, where campers, guided by seasoned Lake City Yacht Club instructor Charles Grassl, delve into sailing theory, learn to captain sunfish boats, and eventually sail independently. Mornings include a scenic pontoon trip across the lake for hands-on sailing practice until lunch, ensuring a rich and immersive experience. As a delightful finale, campers assist Charles in crewing his personal sailboat on the last day. Amidst sailing adventures, campers seamlessly blend into the traditional resident camp schedule, ensuring they savor both the thrill of sailing and the cherished traditions of Camp Pepin.
